Current status as of October 16:
- The Official ETA from Mattel was 'Summer 2026' but we felt that was overly optimistic given the proximity to and popularity of the Aero Style and Team Transport releases
- Kai's listed ETA remains After September 2026
- Our distributors have not been provided a shipping confirmation or revised arrival date
- Your reservation remains secure and no action is required
- We will email everyone as soon as we receive a confirmed update or the shipment arrives
“After September” does not mean September 30, October 1, or guaranteed delivery during October. It means the distributor’s arrival is expected sometime after September, but a specific month has not been confirmed.
Hot Wheels releases move through several separate distribution channels throughout the nation. Target, Walmart, and other major retailers may receive their direct allocations before the distributors supplying independent retailers. Seeing Deutschland Design at another store does not mean that our allocation has arrived or that we are holding your order. We would love to share updates with you, or heck, just ship to you. Shipping on time makes you all happy. Happy kollectors means good reviews and repeat kollectors.
Kai’s Kollectibles receives an update only when our distributor provides one, typically when the allocation is confirmed, invoiced, or ready to ship. Until that happens, we do not have additional tracking or production information to share.
We completely understand the excitement surrounding this release. However, responding to repeated ETA requests through email, comments, and social-media tags requires us to stop receiving, packing, and shipping orders to recheck the same information. Across hundreds of pre-orders, that time adds up and can slow fulfillment for everyone.
Please use this blog post, the product page, and our Pre-Order Guide as the official status. We will proactively contact you when there is a meaningful update. Sending another request will not uncover information that Mattel or our distributor has not yet provided.
