Pre-Order Policy

Payment

Most pre-orders are charged in full at the time of purchase. Select items may be available with a partial deposit. This will be clearly indicated on the product page. Remaining balances on deposit-based pre-orders are collected prior to shipment.

Pre-Order Shipping and ETAs

We aim to ship pre-orders the same day stock arrives from our distributor. Every product page displays an ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival). These dates come directly from the manufacturer and are estimates only; they are subject to change without notice. Kai's Kollectibles is not responsible for delays caused by production, manufacturing, or logistics issues outside our control.

Manufacturers and distributors rarely provide retailers with updates between the time an order is placed and the time stock ships. If you haven't heard from us, it means there is no new information available. You will be notified immediately by email when your order ships.

In the event of a manufacturer cancellation or indefinite delay, you will be notified and refunded in full with no cancellation fee.

Cancellations

Please refer to the Cancellations - Pre-Order Items section of our Return & Refund Policy for full terms. In summary:

  • Free cancellation within 14 days of purchase
  • 20% cancellation fee from day 15 until your order ships
  • No cancellations after your order has shipped

Mixed Carts - Pre-Order + In-Stock Items

If your order contains both pre-order and in-stock items and you order through the website (excluding Shop.App customers), you will be asked at checkout to select a shipping preference:

  1. Bundle by ETA - our default option
    We group items with ETAs within about a month of each other and ship them as a bundle. Items with a larger gap between ETAs ship in separate bundles.
    ✅ Fewer shipments and lower costs than Option 3
    ❌ Additional shipments billed at cost from UPS/USPS
    Best if you want some items sooner but want to keep extra charges to a minimum.

  2. Hold everything, ship it all together
    ✅Initial shipping charge covers the full order - no extra charges
    ❌Nothing ships until your pre-order(s) arrive
    Best if your pre-order ETA is within about 2 months and you're okay with the wait.

     

  3. Ship as each item arrives
    Your in-stock item ships now. Each pre-order ships the moment it comes in.
    ✅ No waiting on anything
    ❌ Each additional shipment billed at cost from UPS/USPS
    Best if you want items as fast as possible and don't mind paying per shipment.

 

If purchasing through the Shop.App, please send us a note with the transaction and we will mark your preference. 

 

If we message to clarify your preference and don't hear back within 3 business days, we will default to option 1 and bundle by ETA: if your pre-order is expected within about 1-2 months, we'll hold and ship everything together. If the gap is longer than that, we'll ship what's ready now so your item isn't sitting in our warehouse indefinitely, and we'll be in touch again when the rest arrives.

Important Facts

  • Pre-order quantities are limited by our distributor allocation. Once our allocation sells out, the pre-order closes. There are no exceptions.
  • ETAs shown on product pages are estimates from the manufacturer and may shift forward or backward. We will communicate any significant changes.
  • By placing a pre-order, you confirm that you have read and agreed to this policy and our Return & Refund Policy, including the cancellation terms.
